Alberto Vingiano

Electric bass

Guitarist, bassist and arranger Alberto Vingiano is an Italian-born musician with an exceptional artistic background. His musical itinerary embodies both academic rigor and creative freedom. Trained in classical guitar at the “G. Frescobaldi” Conservatory of Music in Ferrara, he graduated with top marks and honors. He went on to perfect his art with renowned masters such as Alvaro Company and Alberto Ponce, who praised his outstanding technical and musical qualities.

In 1991, he moved to Paris and joined the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot, where he successively obtained the Licence Supérieure d’Exécution, the Licence Supérieure de Concertiste and the Licence Supérieure de Musique de Chambre.

In 1995, he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the advanced cycle for string instruments – a first for a guitarist after the entrance exam.

Winner of many of the most prestigious international competitions (Vincenzo Galilei in Florence, Città di Stresa, Città di Sanremo, Certamen Francisco Tárrega in Benicàssim, Emilio Pujol in Sassari, Bath International Guitar Competition), Alberto Vingiano enjoys an international career as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral performer. He performs in Europe, Canada and Latin America, and collaborates with major institutions such as the Opéra Comique de Paris and the Théâtre de la Bastille.

Alberto Vingiano is a versatile musician who, in parallel with his career as a guitarist, has developed an in-depth practice of electric bass, approached with a global and demanding musical vision. His classical training and his keen sense of harmony, counterpoint and musical structure nourish a solid, expressive and deeply musical approach to the bass.

Appreciated for his ability to listen and his stylistic adaptability, he is regularly called upon as a bassist in a variety of projects, from written music to contemporary forms, song, stage music and cross-disciplinary projects.

His playing is distinguished by rhythmic precision, quality of sound and great attention to collective musical discourse.

His work as an arranger is widely recognized and broadcast. In 2022, his arrangements were included in a number of major productions: the song “Nuje vulimme nà speranza” (Lucariello and ‘NTO) in the TV series GOMORRA 5, and “Dicitencello vuje” in Marco d’Amore’s film Napoli Magica. In the same year, he collaborated with Vladimir Cosma on two volumes for solo guitar devoted to the most beautiful film scores.

In addition to his activities as a performer, Alberto Vingiano is a recognized teacher. He currently teaches guitar at the Conservatoire du Centre “W. A. Mozart” Conservatory in Paris.
