Omar Hasan<\/b> is an artist with many lives. Originally from Argentina, he first made a name for himself on fields the world over as a <\/span>right pillar of the national XV rugby team, the Pumas<\/b>with a total of <\/span>64 international<\/b> international caps and a historic <\/span>historic third-place finish at the 2007 World Cup<\/b>. He was crowned <\/span>European champion in 2005<\/b> and <\/span>French champion in 2008<\/b> with Stade Toulousain, where he ended an exceptional sporting career, while already beginning his artistic reconversion.<\/span><\/p>

Based in <\/span>Toulouse since 2004<\/b>Omar Hasan then gave a new direction to his energy and stage presence: the musical stage. Gifted with a <\/span>warm, expressive and physical baritone tone<\/b>he explores a wide range of repertoires: <\/span>opera, tango, South American popular song, contemporary classical music<\/b>theater and music.<\/span><\/p>

As a singer and actor, he has played such iconic roles as <\/span>Cornus in <\/b>King Arthur<\/i><\/b> by Purcell<\/b>, <\/span>Ajax in <\/b>La Belle H\u00e9l\u00e8ne<\/i><\/b> by Offenbach<\/b>, <\/span>the three incarnations of the Devil in <\/b>The Tales of Hoffmann<\/i><\/b>or <\/span>Zuniga in <\/b>Carmen Al Andalus<\/i><\/b>. He also creates singular recitals where the <\/span>argentine tango<\/b> dialogue with <\/span>poetic and dramatic language<\/b>paying homage to his roots and inner journeys.<\/span><\/p>

Driven by an insatiable <\/span>insatiable curiosity<\/b> and a natural <\/span>natural stage presence<\/b>He cultivates a total art form in which voice, text and body are in constant dialogue. He asserts a singular aesthetic, at the crossroads of <\/span>popular and learned cultures<\/b>European <\/span>European lyrical traditions<\/b> and the<\/span>South American soul<\/b>between raw emotion and musical refinement.<\/span><\/p>

A former mainstay turned baritone, he likes to say he’s still <\/span>he’s still refining, but with his vocal chords<\/b>.
